- **Table creation and management features released** (New feature, 29 Apr 2025): New capability to create, update, and perform basic actions on tables using the Sheets API with new Table object support.

### August 2021

- **Google Sheets API v3 turned down** (Breaking, 2 Aug 2021): API v3 has been deprecated and shut down; developers must migrate to v4 with migration guide provided.

### June 2016

- **Google Sheets API v4 released** (New feature, 15 Jun 2016): General availability announcement of Google Sheets API v4 as the new major version of the API.
