# NetSuite integrations

*10 integrations*

**In short:** Integrating NetSuite means feeding the ledger from the systems where business happens: CRM deals, shop and marketplace orders, payment settlements, purchasing and expenses. Each lands as a sales order, payment, vendor bill or journal in the right OneWorld subsidiary. What breaks is structure and governance: the wrong subsidiary or exchange rate, items that do not resolve to an internal ID, closed periods, and concurrency limits that throttle a naive sync at month-end.

## What connects to NetSuite

NetSuite is the ledger of record for many internationally structured companies, and a DACH entity often runs as one OneWorld subsidiary among several. Almost everything upstream of the ledger happens in another tool, so most NetSuite integrations are about getting that activity booked correctly.

On the revenue side, a CRM hands over customers and won deals, as in [NetSuite and Salesforce](https://seamless.engineering/integrations/netsuite-salesforce/), while shops and marketplaces deliver orders, refunds and settlements, for example [Shopify to NetSuite](https://seamless.engineering/integrations/shopify-netsuite/). Payment providers add payouts that have to be broken back into charges, fees and refunds, see [NetSuite and Stripe](https://seamless.engineering/integrations/netsuite-stripe/). On the spend side, procurement and expense tools post purchase orders, vendor bills and expense reports.

## Where NetSuite integrations break

- **Every transaction belongs to a subsidiary.** In OneWorld the subsidiary decides the ledger, tax nexus and base currency. None of the upstream tools know the concept, so the pipeline has to derive it. Post to the wrong one and the order books in the wrong entity.
- **Internal IDs are not your keys.** NetSuite records carry opaque internal IDs, not SKUs, emails or CRM IDs. Items, customers and vendors resolve through a stored mapping, and writing the source document ID as the NetSuite external ID turns every retry into an upsert.
- **Governance is a hard ceiling.** SuiteTalk, RESTlets and SuiteQL enforce concurrency and request limits per account. One call per record throttles itself on a busy day, so work has to be batched and paced.
- **Closed periods reject postings.** NetSuite refuses a posting into a locked accounting period. Documents approved after the period closed need an agreed posting-date rule, not a failed batch.
- **Order of operations matters.** A sales order cannot reference a customer that has not synced, and a vendor bill needs its vendor and purchase order. Dependencies are sequenced, and one bad record must not fail the rest.
