Wir prüfen täglich den Entwickler-Changelog von Notion, weil wir produktive Integrationen auf der Notion API betreiben. Diese Seite listet die 72 Änderungen, die wir seit Beginn der Überwachung am 26. März 2026 erfasst haben, die neuesten zuerst.

Die Einträge geben die englischsprachigen Changelogs der Anbieter wieder und stehen deshalb auf Englisch.

Die letzte erfolgreiche Prüfung war am 28. September 2026. Wir kümmern uns darum; bis dahin fehlen hier eventuell die neuesten Änderungen.

Änderungen an der Notion API

Juli 2026

  1. Per-tool access map in notion-fetch self

    The notion-fetch MCP tool's self response now includes a current_tool_access map showing which tools are available on the workspace's plan before making calls.

  2. New identity fields in OAuth token responses

    User objects now include email_verified boolean, and Notion MCP token responses include user_id, workspace_id, and email_domain fields for better connection identification.

  3. Notion app links domain change to notion.com

    API-generated links for pages, databases, and data sources now use notion.com domain instead of notion.so, with URLs formatted as https://app.notion.com/p/{page-id}.

  4. Search the trash and query archived pages

    Search endpoint now accepts filter.in_trash option to list trashed items, and Query data source accepts is_archived parameter for archived pages.

  5. Longer-lived Notion MCP access tokens

    Notion MCP access tokens now last about eight hours instead of one hour.

  6. Automatic retry of service_overload responses

    SDK v5.23.0 now automatically retries HTTP 529 service_overload responses with Retry-After header respect.

  7. Read every row in a large data source

    New SDK helpers iterateAllDataSourceRows() and collectAllDataSourceRows() enable pagination beyond the 10,000 result limit for large data sources.

  8. Start and poll async page writes

    notion.asyncTasks.retrieve() and allow_async parameter enable asynchronous large markdown writes with polling.

  9. Verify webhook signatures with one call

    New verifyWebhookSignature() helper in SDK v5.23.0 simplifies webhook authentication verification.

  10. HTML blocks via the API

    You can now create HTML blocks by uploading .html files and attaching them to embed blocks via embed.file_upload.

  11. Personal access token expiration options

    When creating personal access tokens, users can now select expiration periods of 7, 30, 90, 180 days or 1 year instead of fixed 1 year.

  12. Database icon retrieval

    databases.retrieve now returns the icon set in Notion UI, matching data source icon behavior.

  13. Icon names and database icons

    Icon name field now accepts icon picker names like 'token' and 'star circle', and databases.retrieve now returns the UI icon.

Juni 2026

  1. Async page markdown writes

    Create and update page markdown endpoints now accept allow_async: true for large requests that return async_task handles for polling.

  2. Get workspace and user identity with notion-fetch

    notion-fetch MCP tool now accepts special id 'self' to return connected workspace and user identity without extra API calls.

  3. Poll async MCP tool tasks with notion-get-async-task

    New MCP tool for polling the status of async tasks started by other tools like notion-duplicate-page or notion-create-pages, returning queued/running/retrying/succeeded/failed status.

  4. AI assistant expanded access for Business + Notion AI plans

    Business plan teams with Notion AI can now query single databases/views directly from AI assistants, previously requiring Enterprise plan.

  5. Consistent set of Notion MCP tools on every plan

    All plans now see the same MCP tools with clear upgrade messages instead of hidden tools; notion-query-data-sources now available on Business plans (previously Enterprise only).

  6. Expanded AI assistant access and status option groups

    Business + Notion AI plans can now query single databases from AI assistants; status property options now support optional group field assignment.

  7. Status option groups

    Status property options now accept optional group field to assign options to 'To-do', 'In progress', or 'Complete' groups.

  8. Workspace-level rate limits

    Notion API now applies rate limits per workspace in addition to per-connection limits, scaled to workspace plan.

  9. Bots in people properties and user mentions

    Bots can now be assigned to people properties and referenced in user rich text mentions.

  10. Unique access tokens per OAuth authorization

    New public connections now mint fresh access_token and refresh_token for each OAuth authorization instead of reusing existing tokens.

  1. Markdown page insertion positions

    Update page markdown endpoint now supports `insert_content.position` to prepend or append content without rewriting full page.

  2. Developer portal and personal access tokens

    New Developer portal provides single place to manage connections, Workers, and personal access tokens with workspace admin PAT management.

  3. agent_id parent type

    Pages and blocks parented by an agent now serialize with parent type 'agent_id' instead of being rejected or rewritten.

  4. Query meeting notes endpoint

    New POST /v1/blocks/meeting_notes/query endpoint returns AI meeting notes with optional filters, sorts, and limits.

    Query data source pagination cursors now embed session identifiers to eliminate intermittent validation errors from overlapping pagination sessions.

  5. Multi-value filters for select, status, and multi_select properties

    Database and data source filters now accept arrays of values for equals/does_not_equal on select/status and contains/does_not_contain on multi_select.

  6. Notion MCP improvements

    MCP search, fetch, and markdown tools improved with better Slack integration, domain handling, archive indicators, and CIMD OAuth support.

  7. Update and delete comment endpoints

    Update a comment (PATCH /v1/comments/:comment_id) and Delete a comment (DELETE /v1/comments/:comment_id) endpoints are now generally available.

    Create comment endpoint now accepts optional markdown string parameter as alternative to rich_text; exactly one must be provided.

    heading_4 is now a supported block type alongside heading_1, heading_2, and heading_3.

    People filter conditions now accept 'me' value for contains and does_not_contain, resolving to authorized user for public integrations.

    Paragraph blocks that are direct children of tab blocks now support optional icon field when creating or updating tabs.

  5. View API fixes

    Fixed percent-encoded property IDs in view filters, rejected width: 0 for columns, and fixed partial properties list behavior.

  1. AI meeting notes support

    Markdown retrieval endpoint supports `include_transcript` parameter; new transcription block type for reading AI meeting notes metadata.

    Three new endpoints (POST /v1/pages with markdown, GET /v1/pages/:page_id/markdown, PATCH /v1/pages/:page_id/markdown) enable page content management using enhanced markdown.

    JavaScript/TypeScript SDK dataSource.update now supports changing data source parent database.

  3. SDK page locking support

    JavaScript/TypeScript SDK adds is_locked boolean parameter support on update page and database APIs.
